This week my dog Melvin had his 10th birthday. For this special occasion I wanted to try to make him some homemade dog treats.
This recipe is from a cookbook for dogs. They were super easy to make, and Melvin loved them. He even “asked” to try them.
Dog biscuits with honey

Ingredients
- 150 g spelt flour
- 150 g oats
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 30 g butter
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 eggs
- 100 ml milk
Instructions
- Mix the flour, oats and baking powder.
- Add pieces of butter, butter, honey, eggs and milk and mix and knead the dough.
- Roll the dough out, about 1 cm thick. Cut out circles or the shape you want.
- Bake for about 15 minutes on 200 degrees Celsius.
- Turn the oven off and let them dry in the oven for about 2 hours.
